Liverpool told to pay£130m or forget signing Premier League attacker

**Liverpool are expected to be active in the upcoming transfer windows as Andoni Iraola aims to stamp his authority on his squad.**

The Reds made four new signings in the summer transfer window, but everyone knows they were in the market for another attacker before the deadline.

Bids were rejected for Ismaila Sarr and Yankuba Minteh as Liverpool scrambled the market for a wide player to replace Cody Gakpo, who looked like he would join Manchester City.

The Reds’ interest in Bournemouth’s Rayan is also well documented, with the Brazilian well known to Iraola after they worked together at Bournemouth.

And now, reports from Brazil confirm that the Reds will need to break the bank to sign the Brazilian international.

“The idea in the European market is that people or clubs want to get ahead of the game because Rayan has been playing incredibly well,” Bruno Andrade said via [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/from-brazil-liverpool-interest-in-130m-nailed-on-no-discount-of-even-one-cent/).

“Clubs have the perception that whoever doesn’t get ahead will be left behind and miss out on the player. So they want to act in advance.”

“The message is clear, obvious, and there won’t be a discount of even one cent,” he explained.

“Whoever wants to sign Rayan in January, whether from the Premier League or another European club, has to pay the value of the clause.”

“There won’t be a discount, there won’t be a lower payment. It’s either that or the player stays.”

After spending more than £100m for the likes of Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz and Bradley Barcola over the past 12 months, will the Reds break the bank for Rayan again?

Time will tell.
