The winners of Thursday’s Carabao Cup Round Three tie between City and Norwich will host Brighton in the fourth round.
The draw was made on Wednesday evening before City’s clash with the Championship side brings the third round to a close tomorrow night.
We welcome the Canaries to the Etihad Stadium to begin our defence of the trophy, having beaten Arsenal 2-0 at Wembley in last season’s final in March.
That was our ninth success in the League Cup’s history, with only Liverpool on 10 winning it on more occasions.
Brighton are in the fourth round thanks to a 3-2 victory over Manchester United on Wednesday.
The fourth round represents the last 16 of the competition, with all ties set to be played in the week commencing 26 October.
