Enzo Maresca and his players were putting in the finishing touches before Thursday’s Carabao Cup clash with Norwich City at the Etihad Stadium.
We get the defence of our crown under way against the Championship side at 19:30 (UK) on Thursday 17 September.
Maresca provides team news update before Norwich
City enter at the third round owing to our participation in the Champions League, while Norwich have had to overcome MK Dons and Cardiff City to reach this stage.
We’ll be looking to continue our fine form, having won our last five games across the Premier League and Champions League.
The ultimate goal is to earn a tenth League Cup trophy, which would match record holders Liverpool.
Philippe Clement’s Canaries currently sit 12th in the second tier, with nine points from seven games.
