FC Barcelona is reportedly still keeping tabs on Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane and Manchester City’s Erling Haaland as the Catalans are seeking to bolster their striker position. Adding Kane or Haaland would do the job, eh? Here is the lowdown:
While the expectation remains that Kane opts to extend his stay in Bavaria, Barca are circling.
talkSPORT first reported Barcelona’s interest in Kane in June, when the Spanish giants made initial contact with the striker’s representatives over a stunning move to the Nou Camp.
The reigning LaLiga champions view Kane, 33, as an alternative option to their top target Julian Alvarez, along with Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
Barcelona are seeking to replace Robert Lewandowski following the Polish icon’s departure at the end of his contract and subsequent move to Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire this summer.
Manager Hansi Flick currently lacks a world-class out-and-out centre-forward in his squad, having largely relied on forward and captain Raphinha to lead the line so far this season.
FC Barcelona has looked incredible so far this season under Hansi Flick…imagine adding Kane or Haaland to that mix? It won’t happen, but it would be something.
Kane seems very likely to re-up with the Bavarians, but it is at least a little unclear on what Haaland has planned for his future.

Real eyeing Karl? (Bernabéu Digital)
According to this very reputable report, Real Madrid is keeping a close tab on the development of Bayern Munich youngster Lennart Karl:
The Whites are said to be closely monitoring the progress of a young player who, despite being only 18, is beginning to make a name for himself in Germany. His youth and immense potential align with the transfer policy Real Madrid has been pursuing in recent years.
The player in question is Lennart Karl, one of the Bavarian club’s most promising offensive talents. Despite Real Madrid’s interest and the player’s own comments, Bayern Munich currently has no intention of parting ways with one of its most promising young players. Karl is under contract with the German club through June 2029, so the Bavarian club has the leeway to control his future. Real Madrid will continue to monitor his development and any changes in his situation, although as of now, a potential transfer appears complicated due to Bayern’s stance.
It could be true that Real Madrid is monitoring Karl, but that would just mean they are like every other club out there, just doing some due diligence. That Real Madrid quote is going to haunt Karl forever when it comes to vague reports like this, huh?

Bayern not confident in January sale for Boey (Sport Bild’s Christian Falk)
Bayern Munich and its fans might have to get used to seeing Sacha Boey on the team roster:
Bayern aren’t exactly confident that they’ll sell Sacha Boey in January; there’s just a little hope that they’ll strike a deal with another club. There has been some interest, as we previously reported, from Saudi Arabia when the summer window was still open. But it’s also a bit of a problem that Boey isn’t willing to change clubs in any league. It’s also a question of salary and he’s earning good money at FC Bayern. When he was coming from Galatasaray, Bayern were in need at this position, with the Bavarians paying €30m with add-ons worth €5m. As you see, it’s really hard for Bayern Munich. For every other player on the list, they found a solution. At the moment, there’s no club in sight.
Before anyone starts the Bouna Sarr comparisons, a lot can happen between now and January. If some club loses a right-back to injury, Boey could (maybe) become an attractive option.
