Phoenix Suns are signing free-agent center Duop Reath, according to ESPN's Shams Charania.
The move gives Phoenix another frontcourt option, with Mark Williams expected to miss several months with a shoulder injury.
Reath had also drawn interest from the New York Knicks. SNY's Ian Begley reported earlier this week that New York had been in contact with Reath and James Wiseman (signed with the Knicks) as training camp approached.
Reath appeared in 32 games for the Portland Trail Blazers last season, averaging 2.9 points and 1.2 rebounds in 8.1 minutes. The 30-year-old big man shot 41.8% from three.
Across three NBA seasons, all with Portland, Reath has played 146 games and averaged 6.2 points and 2.6 rebounds while shooting 35.7% from beyond the arc.

Reath returns after foot injury
Reath's 2025-26 season ended early because of a stress fracture in his right foot that required surgery. His final appearance came on Jan. 18.
Portland later traded him and two future second-round picks to the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for Vit Krejci. Atlanta waived Reath four days later, with the center already ruled out for the remainder of the season.
His best NBA season came as a rookie in 2023-24, when he averaged 9.1 points and 3.7 rebounds in 68 games, including 20 starts.
