Jürgen Klopp has revealed how he plans to get the best out of Liverpool star Florian Wirtz with the Germany national team.

Germany coach Jürgen Klopp has called for less pressure on Liverpool star Florian Wirtz as he aims to make the 23-year-old feel comfortable and get the most out of him in the national team.
“The communication has been very pleasant. We keep in touch from time to time. We need to move away from the idea that we want to see special moments from him. He is there to help us as a team. We have to make sure that ‘Flo’ feels comfortable with us," Klopp said at a press conference on Thursday after naming Wirtz in the second of two squads for the upcoming four UEFA Nations League fixtures.
“You have to be happy with a game in which ‘Flo’ Wirtz gave everything but didn’t have a goal or assist. We simply have to give the boy the feeling: ‘That was more than good enough today. You helped us as a team.’
“We won 1-0 or 2-0, and then all the experts sit there and discuss why it still didn’t work out for him. There are just as many reasons to say: ‘He is performing perfectly fine.’ Now we’ll take the next steps together,” Klopp added.
Wirtz has scored 11 goals and provided 14 assists in 45 appearances for Germany since making his debut in 2021.
