Monumental+ continues to grow the OTT platform’s availability through the channels business, and will be available as a subscription service on Prime Video for the upcoming NBA and NHL seasons. The OTT service for the Wizards and Capitals [struck a similar deal a few weeks ago with DAZN](/Articles/2026/08/25/dazn-to-offer-monumental-as-subscription-channel/). These offerings are meant to complement Monumental Sports Network’s existing linear distribution.
Prime Video has had success serving as a home for standalone services, including HBO Max, Apple TV, Paramount+, Peacock Premium Plus, Fox One, Tennis Channel, WNBA League Pass, NBA TV, and Discovery+. This sort of offering has been a big driver of subscriptions for services like Paramount+ and HBO Max given Prime’s huge base. When a user signs up for a subscription within Prime Video, Amazon takes a cut of those sub prices.
