Dominik Szoboszlai has scored three goals for Liverpool this season since signing a new contract in the summer

Dominik Szobozlai’s transfer market value has reached the highest of his career, just days after scoring another important goal for Liverpool. The Reds recently claimed a 3-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur in the Carabao Cup, where they will now face Chelsea in the next round.
Szoboszlai scored the third goal for Liverpool in the victory at Anfield, with his sublime volley in stoppage time securing the win, putting an end to Tottenham’s hopes of reducing the deficit.
The Hungary international’s future at Liverpool was the subject of intense speculation throughout the summer transfer window, so much so that there were rumours that a departure could have been on the cards.
Szoboszlai’s original contract was set to expire in the summer of 2028, but the playmaker put pen to paper on a new five-year deal that will now run until the end of the 2030/31 season.
With Szoboszlai’s importance to Liverpool continuing to grow, the 25-year-old’s market value is now reflective of that.
Transfermarkt have stated that Szoboszlai’s current market value stands at €100million (£85.6), which is the highest it has been across his professional football career.
At the time Szoboszlai arrived at Anfield in the summer of 2023 from RB Leipzig, the midfielder was valued on the website at €50m (£42.8m). As a result, Szoboszlai’s value has doubled since he became a Liverpool player.

Szoboszlai now has three goals for Liverpool this season, with one in each competition - Premier League, Champions League and Carabao Cup - and will be looking to match or beat his tally of 13 from the previous campaign, where he won the club’s Player of the Year award.
Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola was full of praise for Szoboszlai after his goal against Tottenham, and why he has confidence in the Hungary international’s ability to score from distance.
"I think the thing with Dom is when he is going to shoot he has a chance to score,” Iraola told BBC 5Live on Tuesday night.
“With him you believe because he has done it before. He is a great finisher."
