**Liverpool have blown hot and cold under Andoni Iraola so far but are also unbeaten across all competitions under the Spaniard.**
The Reds have shown signs of development, but it goes without saying that they will be a work in progress as they continue to get to grips with the new system.
One player who has made a lot of headlines recently is Florian Wirtz. He has started every Premier League and UEFA Champions League game so far but has struggled to make a mark.
And now, Toni Kroos has made a sarcastic – and rather needless claim on his compatriot ahead of Germany’s games during the international break under Jurgen Klopp.
In a podcast with his brother (as relayed by [Sport Witness](https://sportwitness.co.uk/liverpool-toni-kroos-sends-sarcastic-snipe-over-florian-wirtz-performance/)), Felix Kroos, the former Real Madrid midfielder was asked to name three players for Germany who could impress during the upcoming international break.
The only caveat was to name players who weren’t part of the World Cup.
And Kroos, knowing full well that the 22-year-old took part and played quite well under Julian Nagelsmann, named him alongside Aleksandr Pavlovic and Jamal Musiala, with his brother later realising that it was a sarcastic remark.
> ▪️ The expensive problem who broke up a title-winning midfield and will never adjust to the Premier League.▪️ A lightning rod for criticism who is underappreciated and not helped by the rotating cast around him.
