Jeremy Jacquet looks set to be named in Zinedine Zidane's France squad on Friday, as the Liverpool defender could be part of the senior international setup for the first time.
That's according to a report from L'Equipe, which claims that the 21-year-old is expected to be called up, having already played in the youth teams for Les Bleus.
It marks a huge career milestone for the defender, just a few months on from officially moving to Liverpool, reflecting the impressive start he has had at Anfield so far.
The Reds moved swiftly in the winter market earlier this year to strike an agreement for Jacquet, landing him for roughly $80 million with a view to him joining up for the 2026/27 campaign.

Since doing so, the young defender has been a regular in Andoni Iraola's setup, starting alongside Virgil van Dijk and looking comfortable doing so.
The center-back has played six times for Liverpool, but each time he has played, the fans have had more and more belief that he can grow into a world-class option that can impress at the top of the game regularly.
"I think he had had good performances. He is still building," Iraola recently admitted when talking about Jacquet's start to the season with the Reds.
"The first games, he couldn't finish. Against Ipswich, he finished, but he was very tired. I was very happy the other night because he finished and he had no issues and was fresh. He finished quite strong.

"He is building his physical condition after a lot of months without playing. He is a player that we knew about his qualities. He is confident on the ball, he is aggressive without the ball.
"He is quick, and mentality-wise, you can see he is hungry to win things, to play minutes. Obviously, I am very happy with him."
While his performances have been raved about inside Liverpool, the decision from Zidane to call the youngster up to the France squad only further cements that those outside of the club are seeing the talent that he has.
Jacquet could be one of several changes for Les Bleus, who are embarking on a new mission under the new head coach, following the departure of Didier Deschamps after the World Cup.
The Liverpool defender may be one of those who drives France into a new era of domination in international soccer, with his first chance to impress the manager first-hand now seemingly coming up.
