Liverpool icon Mohamed Salah has gone through a head coach change once again, just over a month into his spell at Trabzonspor, in what has been a mixed start to life with the Turkish club.
Salah, 34, signed for Trabzonspor in early August after becoming a free agent this summer, bringing an end to a nine-year spell with Liverpool.
After signing a two-year contract with the club, the winger has hit the ground running, scoring four goals and assisting once in five matches in the league so far.
For Trabzonspor as a whole, however, it has been a very mixed start to the season. In the domestic league, the side sits ninth with two wins, one draw, and two defeats in the competition.
In Europe, the Bordo-Mavililer crashed out of the Europa League qualification stages in spectacular style, with Ferencvaros thrashing them 4-0 in the second leg to ensure that it would only be Europa Conference League action for this season.
That match, in turn, prompted a shock resignation from manager Fatih Tekke, who made an emotional plea to the board to accept his decision to step down. That was initially rejected, but eventually the hierarchy agreed to a termination of his deal a few days later, prompting the start of a managerial search.
After taking the time to find the right fit, Trabzonspor has landed on German soccer coach Thomas Reis, a 52-year-old who has some experience behind him.
Reis has previously managed the likes of VfL Bochum, Schalke, Samsunspor, and Ludogorets, having had some previous success in his playing career.

The German coach is best known for his sides being compact and capable of delivering devastating counterattacks against the opposition throughout matches.
It remains to be seen how suited Salah and the rest of his teammates will be to this potential shift in style, with some important matches coming up for the side.
Galatasaray, who is currently top of the Turkish Super Lig, is next up for Trabzonspor over the weekend, before attention turns towards the three-week international break.
Reis will then return to his old side Samsunspor after the break, before Europa Conference League action gets underway with a clash against KuPS.
It marks a fresh start for Trabzonspor and a new challenge for Salah, who will need to keep showing his best under a new manager to get his opportunities to shine.
