If Enzo Maresca keeps this up, it won't be long before he is asked for the lottery numbers. Four days after masterminding a derby win with ten men, the Manchester City manager made ten changes for the Carabao Cup and saw both of his outfield debutants score in a comfortable 5-0 win.
Norwich City made nine changes of their own, so the Championship side were far from the strongest opposition that will be seen at the Etihad this season. Nevertheless, Maresca can seemingly do no wrong as City continued their perfect start to the season with a sixth straight victory.
Rayan Cherki bagged one before being withdrawn at half-time for the second successive game and Brazilian winger Allan - having heard his name shouted with a Mancunian twang by fans all night - got in on the act with a neat goal to make it 3-0. Having struggled for most of the first half up against full-back Darlin Yongwa, it will clearly take some time for the former Palmeiras winger to settle.
