Saddiq Bey signs huge extension with Pelicans
Saddiq Bey was about to enter the upcoming 2026-27 season as the final year of his contract, in which he will earn $6.6 million.
Now, he is under contract in New Orleans through 2029-30, which locks him as a key part of the franchise in the long run.
Bey averaged a career-best 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game while shooting 45.1 percent from the field and 36.7 percent from three-point range last season.
He redeemed himself after not playing the whole 2024-25 season because of a torn ACL injury he sustained a season ago with the Atlanta Hawks.
Bey was selected 19th overall by the Detroit Pistons in the 2020 NBA Draft and earned All-Rookie First Team honors in his rookie season.
