Arsenal have at least two transfer targets on their shortlist ahead of the January transfer window, according to Football.London reporter Tom Canton.

The journalist says that Brentford’s Kevin Schade and Bournemouth’s Junior Kroupi are “names to monitor” over the coming weeks and months.

Schade has had a good start to the 2026/27 campaign, scoring 3 goals in 5 appearances, having bagged a brace against Bournemouth last weekend.

The German international is a right-footed left winger and is still just 24 years of age, making him an ideal profile to provide competition for Christos Tzolis.

A move for Kroupi is more complicated

Unlike Schade, the Frenchman hasn’t been able to make it onto the pitch so far this season after sustaining a foot injury.

Kroupi is, though, expected to be be back available at the start of November, well before the transfer window reopens in the New Year.

The forward broke the Premier League record for the most goals scored by a teenager last season (13), and he is a player who is likely to be in high demand. Bournemouth may also hold out for a high fee, with reports suggesting that his asking price could be in excess of £80m.

Who should Arsenal sign?

A lot depends on what manager Mikel Arteta is looking for. If the Spaniard wants someone who can directly compete with Tzolis then Schade may be the best option.

However, with doubts over the long-term future of Viktor Gyokeres, having someone who can play both as a no.9 and on the left wing (like Kroupi) could be the way to go.

There is a good chance that other names will enter the mix before the turn of the year, but it appears Schade and Kroupi are among the top targets currently.
