Arsenal will aim to retain their perfect Premier League record when they visit Brighton on Saturday. The Gunners have won all four games so far, putting them at the top of the table. Mikel Arteta's side sits first on goal difference.

Meanwhile, Arsenal have been drawn to face Fleetwood Town in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after beating Ipswich Town 4-2 on Tuesday.

Goals from Noni Madueke, Mikel Merino and a brace from Max Dowman secured the win at Portman Road. Now, one more game awaits the Gunners before the international break begins.

Here, football.london has the latest coming out of the red side of north London.

Klopp's favour to Arteta

Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has handed Havertz the chance to ready himself for Arsenal's demanding fixture list during the international break. Klopp has selected the forward to represent Germany as they meet the Netherlands on the road and welcome Greece in their opening two matches.

However, a different squad has been chosen to face Serbia at home, before travelling to Greece towards the end of the break. This will give Havertz a fortnight to prepare for the Premier League's return at the Emirates Stadium on October 10.

This dual-squad arrangement is being hailed as a revolutionary decision by Klopp, one that opens the door for more international prospects while affording those burdened with heavy fixture schedules some much-needed rest. Discussing his decision, the ex-Reds boss said: "Putting together the squad was fun.

"I want to get to know as many players as possible and get as many impressions of them as possible."

Arteta will no doubt be thankful to have his first-choice striker back sooner than many of his fellow international managers.

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere reportedly planned to secure Dowman on loan this campaign. Head scout Mick Harford revealed to talkSPORT that Luton Town, which Wilshere manages, were interested in providing the youngster with more consistent chances in the first team.

Wilshere has direct knowledge of Dowman, having coached him in the Arsenal U18s. Harford drew parallels between the two players - with Wilshere also an emerging teenage prospect in north London - and believes the 16-year-old possesses the ability to become a "superstar."

He added: "Jack was a wonderful footballer, he still is on the training ground. He started, not as a wide man, but as a wide man tucking in those little pockets, getting on the ball and creating stuff. Dowman looks more of a wide man than a pocket player, but a wonderful talent.

"I think he will get more game time and I think if he produces, I think Arteta will play him. I'm a believer in if you're ready, I don't care what age you are. If you're good enough, you'll play and I'm sure he will. He looks like he's going to be a superstar."
