**Real Madrid are reportedly weighing up a move for Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite as interest continues to build around the 24-year-old.**
GOAL reports that the Spanish giants are keeping a close eye on Branthwaite, with [Everton](https://readeverton.com/) said to value the England international at around £80m.
Madrid strengthened their defence significantly during the summer, but are reportedly still considering another centre-back and Branthwaite has emerged as an option.
The latest report comes just two days after fresh claims over Manchester United’s long-standing interest.
TEAMtalk reported that United have made contact with Branthwaite’s camp, with Manchester City, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid also tracking the defender.
Everton, though, have little reason to entertain anything they do not like. Branthwaite signed a new five-year contract in July 2025, tying him to the club until the summer of 2030, and GOAL reports that the Blues have no desire to sell.
His return to fitness this season was always likely to bring the transfer talk back with it. After missing much of 2025/26 with hamstring problems, Branthwaite has returned to David Moyes’ side and quickly reminded everyone why so many big clubs have been watching him.
Real Madrid joining that list will inevitably attract attention, but an £80m valuation and a contract with almost four years left to run leave Everton holding a strong hand.
