Liverpool and Bournemouth will lock horns on Sunday in what promises to be an intriguing game of Premier League football.
The Reds have fared quite well under their new boss, but in the Premier League, they only have one win so far.
Nevertheless, a return to his old hunting ground is Andoni Iraola’s next challenge as Liverpool aim to build on their 3-1 Carabao Cup win against Tottenham.
And speaking ahead of the game, the Spaniard has heaped praise on Ronald Araujo and Bradley Barcola for the way they have adapted to life at Anfield since joining the club in the summer transfer window.
Andoni Iraola lauds Liverpool duo
“I am very happy for him,” said Iraola when asked about Araujo in his pre-match press conference.
“First time I talked to him, sometimes you talk and you can feel straight away, everything was positive.
“He needed this change, and he has come with humility, a big club, experienced player, ready to play positions.”
“Physically, he has played more minutes than we expected and he is showing robustness, in a good place.
Andoni Iraola on Barcola:
“The more time he plays the better he becomes. He is in a good shape. Like all the signings from overseas they need some time to get used to playing in England but he is used to playing in high-profile games.” pic.twitter.com/P0Y6yRu0y1

“Not cramping. Especially when you are a centre-back playing right-back, it’s more demanding. I like his spirit; now I am pushing him to learn the language. We can use his experience if he can communicate more. It will take some time.”
The Spaniard also said Barcola will take some time to get to grips with English football after his big-money move from PSG.
“The more time he plays, the better he becomes,” said Iraola about the Frenchman.
“He is in good shape. Like all the signings from overseas, they need some time to get used to playing in England, but he is used to playing in high-profile games.”
Both Barcola and Araujo are expected to start on Monday as Liverpool look for their second Premier League win of the new season.
