Liverpool will take on Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium on Sunday as they aim to return to winning ways in the Premier League.
The Reds’ previous game in the competition was a drab 0-0 draw against Fulham as they simply failed to get going at Anfield.
Andoni Iraola’s side, however, recorded a well-deserved 3-1 win against Tottenham Hotspur in midweek as they delivered a fine performance in front of goal.
They will aim to take three points when the Spaniard returns to his old hunting ground but will be without four players on the south coast.
Andoni Iraola provides Liverpool injury update
When asked about injuries, the Spaniard confirmed that Federico Chiesa is still not ready to feature as he continues to recover from an injury.
The Italian hasn’t featured at all this season and isn’t part of the Reds’ UEFA Champions League squad, which is a sign that he is out of favour.
Aside from Chiesa, Giovanni Leoni, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike are the only three players Liverpool currently have on the sidelines as they continue to recover from long-term injuries.

Joe Gomez returned against Tottenham and captained the side as he produced a brilliant performance before being substituted at half-time.
Liverpool don’t have the biggest squad on paper, but things are slowly starting to look better for them.
