Chris Wilder will ring the changes for Sheffield United’s trip to Stoke City tomorrow afternoon as he looks for a response to Wednesday night’s disappointing Carabao Cup exit.
None of the players handed a chance to impress at Fleetwood Town took it, with many of the first-choice men given a much-needed midweek rest expected to return to the starting XI in Staffordshire.
The Blades have plenty of options available to them, with Kalvin Phillips, Liam Kitching and Patrick Bamford among those who could come into the starting XI. Wilder will also have to decide whether to stick with the midfield that started against Wolves or make another alteration.
Stoke City will provide another test after United's encouraging performance against Wolverhampton Wanderers last weekend, but this is also a chance for the Blades to put the midweek disappointment firmly behind them.
