Gill Clark Gill Clark is the site manager of Barca Blaugranes and joined in 2017. She has worked in sports media as a writer and editor for the best part of two decades and has been in love with the beautiful game for as long as she can remember.
Lamine Yamal has been talking about Barcelona’s Champions League hopes and says that Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich are the two teams that could cause Hansi Flick’s side problems this season.
Barcelona have started the season in superb form and will be hoping they can challenge for the European Cup this season.
Yamal is well aware of the challenge they face in the Champions League this season and has spoken about some of Barca’s rivals for the title.
”Our weak point is facing opponents like Bayern Munich or PSG, who are more physical and force you to run a lot and stay focused the entire match. Arsenal is a more tactical game, focused on possession,” he told Movistar.
Luis Enrique’s PSG have won the Champions League for the last two seasons, and Yamal thinks the French champions will be the team to beat once again.
“I think PSG, but their problem is that it’s very difficult to win after winning,” he added.
“That’s the hardest thing in football. When you win a title, winning again is the most difficult thing. That’s the fear I have when we win something, that we’ll relax.”
And the Barcelona teenager made it clear there’s one team he would love to face in the Champions League this season: “I’ve never faced Madrid in the Champions League. I’d like to face them in the Champions League.”
