Rangers legend Ally McCoist would '100 per cent' take Arsenal wonderkid Max Dowman on loan at Ibrox.
The 16-year-old has recently broken through at the Premier League champions, scoring a brace in their midweek win over Ipswich Town.
McCoist was asked on talkSPORT about Dowman's future, and the potential for a loan deal.
"Aye, I would take him, 100 per cent I’d take him at Ibrox," he said. "I would (loan him out). I wouldn’t have a problem with it if Mikel Arteta thought it was the best thing for his development.
"A conversation before about, I remember, Phil Foden. I thought it had been the right thing for him to go out.
"It wasn’t because Pep kept him and then he went on to have a fantastic period after that. So, I can understand the pros and cons of both, but I would not have a problem. I would be okay for him to go and get some serious game time."

On the potential for Dowman to head out on loan, Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta previously said, "In my particular case, I was 17 when I went to PSG. It depends on the atmosphere that you find there, and how much the coach believes in you as to whether you go there just to be part of a squad or play minutes. Which country, it depends. But now he is in a good place, let's keep him here.
"The best way to knock on the door is to do it on the pitch, not in the office. Then you just leave out the arguments. When a player delivers constantly on the pitch, every single day in training, that's the best way, that's the best signal for the manager.
"That's the best signal for his team-mates, too. And what Max did the other day, alongside all the other players as well that haven't played many minutes this season, was really impressive."
