Brighton welcomes Arsenal to the south coast on Saturday, in a huge match in the Premier League before the international break kicks off next week.

‌

The Gunners sit top of the table after four games, winning all of them with a goal difference of seven in their favor, putting them above rival Manchester City at this stage. As for the Seagulls, a positive start for Fabian Hurzeler has seen the team pick up seven points from a possible 12 on offer, taking two wins and one draw so far, along with one defeat.

‌

While Mikel Arteta's team is unbeaten in its last seven encounters with Brighton (five wins, two draws), the match will prove to be yet another huge test of the side's capability to win the Premier League on back-to-back occasions.

Arsenal could be back to having a nearly fully fit squad at Arteta's disposal, after the manager hinted at four returns in his pre-match press conference for the Brighton clash.

‌

Ben White was an injury doubt after the defender was brought off at half-time against Sunderland last week with what appeared to be a groin issue. Speaking ahead of the clash, the manager said when asked about the defender: "All good. We have another training session this afternoon, so very positive about everybody."

That was a message that continued when asked about a trio of Jurrien Timber, Cristhian Mosquera, and Piero Hincapie, as Arteta added: "Everyone is fine. We still have another training session this afternoon, but I’m very optimistic about all of them. They all want to be involved, and we’ll use the final session to make sure they’re ready.”

If that quartet are fit and available, then that leaves just William Saliba as the only injury issue remaining, with the defender facing months out with a back injury he sustained at the World Cup in the summer.

As many as nine players could be missing for Brighton ahead of the match with Arsenal, as Hurzeler looks to get an important win before the international break.

The likes of Jack Hinshelwood, Kaoru Mitoma, Mats Wieffer, Zadok Yohanna, and Femi Azeez have been earmarked for returns after the international break, with the players all managing their own issues that will take a little while to recover.
