Alexander Isak has outlined the pace he has noticed from Bradley Barcola in his early time at Liverpool so far, discussing the "crazy speed" he saw from the winger on his debut.
It follows the huge $166 million fee the Reds paid Paris Saint-Germain to land the French winger, with the hope that he would help solve a misfiring frontline from the past year or so. Barcola brings with him some experience of winning competitions at the top level, showing plenty of pace and skill to get there, while there is some potential to grow even further at the age of just 24.
Since making the move, the forward has been in and out of the team, as he looks to continue building fitness, following a summer that lacked any preseason preparation for the star.
While Liverpool is still waiting to see the best from Barcola, some key attributes have already been on display, including the pure pace that was shown in his debut against Ipswich Town.
The winger's teammate, Isak, was asked about how fast the summer recruit really is, with the striker revealing that he noticed it straight away.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "Yes, he’s super-fast. I think he reached a crazy speed against Ipswich and it didn’t even look like he was going full throttle, so he’s really quick."
Once he can piece it all together into a complete performance on a regular basis, Barcola will be a clear threat for the opposition, possessing a lot of the skills that Liverpool has been lacking in the forward line over the past year.

The lack of pace has been something that has been noticeable for the Reds recently, with teams seemingly more than comfortable watching the ball played in front of their backline, without any concerns about spaces behind the rest of the team.
With Barcola in the team, there could be a different dimension brought to Liverpool, which could have the opposition second-guessing whether he is running in behind or creating space in front of them.
It's something that shouldn't only help the former PSG man, with the likes of Isak, Cody Gakpo, Rio Ngumoha, and Florian Wirtz all likely to benefit from the space that is created elsewhere from a player who can pull defences around.
It remains to be seen how the dynamics will form between the forward line, with plenty of stars all capable of scoring plenty trying to fit into the same team.
Andoni Iraola will be tasked with finding the right balance, with Barcola set to be key in doing just that.
