Victor Munoz has explained how Alexis Mac Allister has helped him settle into life at Liverpool quickly since his £35 million move from Osasuna.
Diogo Jota’s death, accompanied by the departures of Luis Diaz, Darwin Nunez and coach Claudio Taffarel, have meant that Liverpool’s Latin friendship group has dwindled.
This summer, though, Mac Allister and Alisson have been joined by the Spaniard, Munoz, and Uruguayan defender Ronald Araujo.
Both signings have settled quickly, thanks in part to Mac Allister’s help.

In an interview with AS, Munoz said: “Mac Allister is helping me a lot, as is Mamardashvili (who spoke Spanisha t Valencia).
“I’ve also been getting along very well with Ronald Araujo since he arrived.”
Like Munoz, Araujo is still learning English. Iraola wants the defender to do so quickly in order to further utilise his experience.
Asked how the dressing room has received him, Munoz replied: “Very well. Since I don’t speak much of the language, everyone tries their best to help me.
“Having someone like Mac Allister by my side, with everything he represents here, is proving very beneficial. I’m very grateful.”

Munoz is a raw but very exciting player, whose direct style rapidly endeared him to supporters; the 23-year-old brings an energy that the Reds sorely lacked last season.
As a player who gets fans off their seats, Munoz is clearly loving playing at Anfield:
“I’d heard so much about the atmosphere at Anfield, but you can’t really explain it until you experience it.
“It’s incredible how passionately our fans live and breathe football. It has a unique flavour. Just hearing the anthem and everyone singing it gives you goosebumps.
“As soon as it’s over, you leave with extra motivation. The supporters’ passion is a huge boost and an extra incentive for the players.”

Having scored a great equaliser against Nottingham Forest on his first Anfield appearance, Munoz already looks to be Liverpool’s best option on the right wing, despite his natural position being on the opposite flank.
“In the short term, my goal is to settle in Liverpool and win a title,” he added.
“But, as in life, you have to keep moving forward and looking for new goals. Maybe next year I’ll be able to tell you something different.”
