Former Liverpool star Andy Robertson was at the centre of a key error for Tottenham in its clash with Aston Villa, as the side's difficult start to the season continued.
The left-back made the move to Spurs as a free agent in the summer, bringing an end to his nine-year spell at Anfield that saw him have plenty of success. It's a move that not many had foreseen, as it was tough to see the defender in any other scenario than playing for Liverpool, but he joined Spurs with the hope of bringing some experience and stability to a team that has struggled over the past few years.
After recording consecutive 17th-placed finishes, bringing in a player like Robertson worked two-fold for the side. Not only could he help in setting standards, but he offers some quality cover to a side that has struggled with injuries, especially to Destiny Udogie at left-back.

Considering the transfer spend over the summer for Tottenham, and the hope that then followed, the start of the season has been far from ideal.
Heading into the clash with Aston Villa, Robeto De Zerbi's side sat in the relegation zones, having failed to score a goal and struggling for some confidence.
There was some hope that things could be turned around, but that took a blow in the first half, with Robertson at the centre of an error for the side.

The former Liverpool man attempted to stop the ball going out for a corner, but kept the ball in play, with the cleared effort staying with Villa. Eventually, the attack landed for Johan Manzambi, who slotted home an opener for the away side.
It was yet more horror show defending from Tottenham, with Liverpool icon Steven Gerrard giving his thoughts on the decision from Robertson that led to the goal on TNT Sports.
He claimed: "I think initially Robertson tries to do the right thing for the team to clear the lines. But once you go to ground there, the ball has to leave the pitch. You have to kill the game."
It continued another difficult start to the season for Tottenham, as the club hasn't managed to recover from the slump in form over the past few seasons.
Robertson and his teammates will be hoping that the three-week international break can help ease any tension, with time on the training ground that could solve some of the issues they face.
Tottenham return to action after the break with some tough clashes, with Manchester United, Coventry, and Chelsea in the next three, which could prove to be an opportunity to turn the corner, or face yet more questions about the future direction of the club.
