On a weekend where Chelsea were unable to find the net for the first time this season, one of their former players had supporters talking with his goal.
Nicolas Jackson started up front for Aston Villa, scoring their second goal as they piled more misery on Chelsea’s arch-rivals Tottenham with a 3-2 victory.
It was the Senegal international’s first goal in the Premier League for his new side, after previously finding the net in the Champions League already.

Chelsea fans all make the same point after Nicolas Jackson goal vs Tottenham
This comes less than 24 hours after the Blues were dominated by Brentford, as they struggled to create any real chances in front of goal in the absence of Joao Pedro.
Chelsea fans took to social media to berate their club for the mistake they have made, with them clearly preferring Jackson to Danny Welbeck as an option.
One user said: “Chelsea’s mistake was selling Jackson. He could have been both João Pedro’s backup and Rogers’.”
Another added: “Firstly, that was superb goal from Nicholas Jackson. Chelsea sold him to buy a 35 years old player, who isn’t even as mobile as him, especially for what Xabi wants from his striker.”
A third stated: “Jackson was never a problem at Chelsea! He was a very good and smart player.”
Another claimed: “The thing about Jackson is that you could see he had something about him in his Chelsea days surround him with goal scoring wingers and it’s an even bigger problem.”
Finally, one user said: “Chelsea should not have sold Nicolas Jackson. He makes his teammates better.”
Spurs are the side who Jackson has scored the most goals against in the Premier League, with his latest strike making it five against them.
He has previously scored a hat-trick at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, and clearly enjoys inflicting misery on them in the league.
Chelsea meanwhile are hopeful that Pedro will be fit enough to return to the starting side when the Blues return after the international break against Bournemouth.
