The NFL is moving into Week 2 after a busy opening slate that featured several notable individual performances and plenty of physical play. Teams now turn their attention to the next round of games, with players and coaches reviewing what went wrong in Week 1.
The league reviews plays after each game and can issue fines for violations during the action. Those penalties cover different types of conduct, from contacts involving quarterbacks to plays involving defenseless players.
The NFL has now released its Week 1 accountability list, with 20 players receiving fines. The list includes several recognizable names from around the league, including Washington Commanders wide receiver Stefon Diggs and Detroit Lions running back Jahmyr Gibbs.
