The Memphis Grizzlies will honor Brandon Clarke's legacy and memories with several tributes from the franchise.
On Friday, which would have marked the late big man’s 30th birthday, the Grizzlies announced that they will hold a pregame tribute and moment of silence for Clarke on Opening Night at home against the Utah Jazz on Oct. 21.
The Grizzlies will also feature a "BC" patch on their jerseys throughout the whole 2026-27 season.

The Memphis Grizzlies have already debuted the "BC" patches on their uniforms during the 2026 NBA Summer League in July.
Brandon Clarke died in May at the age of 29 after being found unresponsive at a residence in Los Angeles.
An investigation by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner determined that the Memphis Grizzlies forward died from an accidental overdose involving heroin and cocaine. Authorities also found drug paraphernalia at the residence but reported no evidence suggesting foul play.
Clarke’s entire seven-year NBA career was spent with Memphis after the Grizzlies selected him 21st overall in the 2019 NBA Draft.
Clarke became a key contributor for a young Memphis team featuring Ja Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr., though multiple lower-body injuries prevented him from reaching his full potential.
Clarke averaged 10.2 points and 5.5 rebounds across 309 games over his seven seasons with the Grizzlies.
