The second weekend of the 2026 NFL season is here!
Let’s run through a Philadelphia Eagles-focused rooting guide for all of the Week 2 games.
**PHILADELPHIA EAGLES at TENNESSEE TITANS:** There’s every reason to believe the Eagles should win this game and advance to 2-0. **Go Birds.**
**WASHINGTON COMMANDERS at DALLAS COWBOYS:** The Commanders played the Eagles close, sure, but the Cowboys are still the bigger threat in the division. Would be glorious to see Dallas drop to 0-2 … ahead of a Week 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens. **Root for the Commanders.**
**NEW YORK GIANTS at LOS ANGELES RAMS:** If the Giants beat the Rams on Monday night, they’ll be 2-0 before hosting the Titans in Week 3 and the Cardinals in Week 4. The G-Men could very well start 4-0 and perhaps even 5-0 with a game against Washington in Week 5. The Eagles shouldn’t want to see the Giants get rolling, even if a Rams win isn’t really ideal as it relates to potential playoff seeding scenarios down the line. **Root for the Rams.**
**CAROLINA PANTHERS at ATLANTA FALCONS:** The Falcons are an ideal NFC South winner because they’re just not very threatening. **Root for the Falcons.**
**NEW ORLEANS SAINTS at BALTIMORE RAVENS:** The Saints might be interesting. Would be good to see them not build momentum as an NFC contender. **Root for the Ravens.**
**MINNESOTA VIKINGS at CHICAGO BEARS:** The Vikings might not be bad but the Bears seem like the bigger threat in the NFC. **Root for the Vikings.**
**GREEN BAY PACKERS at NEW YORK JETS:** AFC team over NFC team. **Root for the Jets.**
**CLEVELAND BROWNS at TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS:** AFC team over NFC team … even though it’s probably an exercise in futility in this case. **Root for the Browns.**
**SEATTLE SEAHAWKS at ARIZONA CARDINALS:** The reigning Super Bowl champs are obviously the bigger threat. **Root for the Cardinals.**
**MIAMI DOLPHINS at SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS:** AFC team over NFC team. **Root for the Dolphins.**
**CINCINNATI BENGALS at HOUSTON TEXANS:** The Eagles play the Texans later this season. With the hope that the Eagles will beat them, you want the Texans to have as good of a record as possible to help boost Philly’s strength of victory tiebreaker. **Root for the Texans.**
**PITTSBURGH STEELERS at NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS:** The Eagles play the Steelers later this season. With the hope that the Eagles will beat them, you want the Steelers to have as good of a record as possible to help boost Philly’s strength of victory tiebreaker. Also, the Eagles own the more favorable of two 2027 fifth-round picks either from the Pats or Bears. Might as well root against New England. **Root for the Steelers.**
**JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS at DENVER BRONCOS:** The Eagles play the Jags this season. With the hope that the Eagles will beat them, you want the Jags to have as good of a record as possible to help boost Philly’s strength of victory tiebreaker. **Root for the Jaguars.**
**INDIANAPOLIS COLTS at KANSAS CITY CHIEFS:** The Eagles play the Colts later this season. With the hope that the Eagles will beat them, you want the Colts to have as good of a record as possible to help boost Philly’s strength of victory tiebreaker. **Root for the Colts.**
**LAS VEGAS RAIDERS at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS:** No Eagles impact but could be fun to cheer on Nakobe Dean, who now plays for the Raiders.
