Arsenal's players are on their way to meet up with their international colleagues after playing Brighton on Saturday and won't play another league game for three weeks. However, they will have two important home games upon their return, against Leeds in the league and Lille in Europe.
The Gunners have plenty of first-teamers away for the extended break, during which time England and a number of their European rivals will play four UEFA Nations League matches. Mikel Arteta will hope his stars emerge unscathed, with a run of six games in October including a Champions League trip to Bayern Munich.
Arsenal were busy in the summer transfer market, adding the likes of Bruno Guimaraes and Ezri Konsa to a squad which lifted the Premier League title last season. They have also been building for the future, with a number of exciting wonderkids on the way to north London.
We've got news on one such star for you today, as well as an update on teenage talent Max Dowman. Here are our latest lines from around the Emirates Stadium.
Dowman loan not ruled out
Arsenal prodigy Max Dowman could yet spend time out on loan in the second half of the season despite his rapid rise. However, BBC Sport reports that they would only entertain such a plan if they can identify a club which could help his development.
Dowman scored his first Premier League goal last season and delivered his first senior brace in a Catabao Cup win at Ipswich on Tuesday. He doesn't turn 17 until December and manager Mikel Arteta spoke about the Gunners' plans after previously sanctioning loan moves for fellow youngster Ethan Nwaneri.
"We will evaluate every six months where we are and what is the best thing for him to do and then make the right decision," Arteta said before Saturday's trip to Brighton.
"It depends on a lot of factors. What he needs, and what the team needs as well, the availability we have in the squad, the minutes that he is playing and the qualities of those minutes. We have to be open, but now the focus is to be here and to impact the team."

Austrian teenager Luca Weinhandl is the latest young talent to be linked with Arsenal, among other top European clubs. The 6'3" midfielder has already broken into the Sturm Graz first team, scoring in a Champions League qualifying victory against Hearts in July.
Weinhandl doesn't turn 18 until January but Sturm boss Fabio Ingolitsch shrugged off any transfer talk. "These days, you can put so much information into someone that all sorts of rumours are formed. We couldn't care less," he said.
"We know what we have in Luca, that he's a highly talented player who, at 17, plays as if he's already played countless international matches. A very special lad, we know that, and yet we can all put it into perspective and are very happy that he's with us. He will help us immensely this year."
