Liverpool have four players missing with long-term injuries as Andoni Iraola takes the Reds to Bournemouth for the first time since joining the club.

Having made 10 changes for the Carabao Cup win over Tottenham, Iraola has a fresh set of senior players to take down south as Liverpool seek their second Premier League win of the season.

Here is who will miss out for Liverpool vs. Bournemouth:

Federico Chiesa (muscle) – Unavailable

Giovanni Leoni (ACL) – Unavailable

Conor Bradley (knee) – Unavailable

Hugo Ekitike (Achilles) – Unavailable

“Everyone is ready to go,” was Iraola’s response when asked if there had been any setbacks this week.

“We are in the same place we were with the three long-term injuries plus Federico – and the others, nothing.

“We still need to train tomorrow (Saturday) and travel, but everyone is fine.”

Federico Chiesa is the closest to a return, after sitting out the start of the campaign due to a problem picked up in the pre-season friendly against Como.

The Italian is “aiming for a late-September return to training,” reported the Mail‘s Lewis Steele this week, a line Iraola alluded to at a press conference earlier this month.

Chiesa’s compatriot, Giovanni Leoni, is next on the recovery line. Early in September, Iraola explained: “I think the plan is also to start training during the break.”

Meanwhile, Conor Bradley and Hugo Ekitike continue on their long road back to full fitness. We likely won’t see them until the turn of the year.

That leaves Liverpool with an attacking selection of Cody Gakpo, Bradley Barcola, Victor Munoz, Alexander Isak, Rio Ngumoha and Lewis Koumas.

Having sat out the cup tie with Tottenham, Isak will start at Dean Court, with two of Munoz, Gakpo and Barcola taking the remaining forward berths.

Dominik Szoboszlai should line up next to Alexis Mac Allister in midfield, in front of a back four that includes Ronald Araujo, Jeremy Jacquet, Virgil van Dijk and Milos Kerkez.
