Andoni Iraola returns to Bournemouth for the first time since joining Liverpool, as he seeks to end the Cherries’ impressive unbeaten run at home.
Iraola took charge of 127 games as Bournemouth manager, but this weekend he heads to Dean Court as a Liverpool boss in need of three points.
Only once before in history (2005/06) have Liverpool drawn four of their opening five league games of a campaign – a tally they would match if they draw at Dean Court.
In their way are a Bournemouth side who have just won their first European game ever, away against Real Sociedad, and are unbeaten in their last 11 home league matches.
That run of three wins and eight draws stretches back to a 3-2 loss vs. Arsenal on January 3.
Bournemouth vs. Liverpool produces goals aplenty
Eleven goals were scored in the two league fixtures between the teams last season. Liverpool have completed a league double in six of the last nine seasons they have met.
All 18 previous league encounters have come in the Premier League, with Liverpool scoring 54 times, averaging three goals per game.
Thirty-four goals have been scored in the last eight league meetings, the Reds netting 27. They have scored in 17 of the 18 league meetings and kept 10 clean sheets, including nine in the last 14 clashes.

Liverpool have won 20 of the previous 26 encounters with Bournemouth in all competitions, failing to score in only one league game down the years.
The Reds have scored at least three times in five of their last nine visits to Bournemouth and, in all competitions, Liverpool have scored at least twice in 17 of the last 18 encounters.
How Bournemouth are faring
Last season Bournemouth lost only seven times in the league, with only the top two losing fewer.
They won seven of their 19 home games, drawing 10 and losing only to Everton and Arsenal.
Bournemouth drew more times than any other team in the top-flight last season (18), four more than the next highest,
Leeds.
Marco Rose’s side have already drawn three times this season and they have not won in their last six Premier League matches, the first two in that sequence coming under Iraola.
