When and where
We open up our UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign with an away match against FC Bayern Munich at Stadion Am Sportpark, with a 17:45 (UK) kick-off on Tuesday 22 September.

Man City app coverage
As with every game to come this campaign, the Official Man City App will have you covered across all bases during the opening game of the season.
Starting at 16:15 (UK), our Matchday Centre will provide regular updates, stats and analysis. Commentary will also be available on CITY+ with Mike Minay from kick-off.
Post-match reaction and a detailed match report will be available shortly after the final whistle, with highlights and a CITY+ full-match replay also accessible on mancity.com and the Official Man City App later that evening.

The boss will address the media from Munich at 19:30 (UK). A full summary of the press conference will be available on our website and app shortly after it has concluded.
Jeglertz won’t be the only one to field questions from the press, a player from the squad will also partake in the media briefing, with a full summary of that to follow shortly afterwards also.

Previous meeting
As we make our return to the UWCL, we are also entering into new territory when we face off against Bayern, as this will be the first encounter between the two sides, marking a key moment in our European history.
It will also be City’s first time playing in the League Phase format, which was introduced in 2025/26.
Last time out
City continued to impress in the Barclays Women’s Super League last Sunday when we ran out 4-2 winners against Liverpool at the Joie Stadium.
First-half goals came from Lauren Hemp and also Bunny Shaw, who scored from on the goal line.
With the score level at 2-2 heading into the second-half, there was to be late drama for City, with Grace Clinton’s dangerous cross heading for Shaw being turned in by Grace Fisk to put City back in the lead, before Hemp’s solo goal in second-half added time secured the win.
