Albion will check on Pascal Struijk after he was in the wars on his first Premier League start for the club.

The former Leeds centre-back took a whack to the head as he contested a corner with Arsenal goalkeeper David Raya.

He returned after treatment and was shown a yellow card after racing to join the defensive effort at the other end of the pitch.

As Albion closed in on their third clean sheet of the Premier League season – and fifth in total – he pulled up holding the back of his thigh and was replaced by Michael Svoboda.

Seagulls head coach Fabian Hurzeler said: “I think he felt a little bit with his hamstring. I hope it's nothing bad, but then we have to see how he represents.”

Struijk came into the side after Lewis Dunk suffered a minor neck issue in training on Friday.

The skipper watched from a seat in the West Lower with other unavailable players including Kaoru Mitoma.

Hurzeler said: “Lewis had a small issue in training with his with his neck. Nothing major.”

Albion expect to have some of their injured players back in action when they go to Sunderland in their next competitive fixture on October 10.

They will play a friendly fixture before then as club action takes a break.
