Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen has once again been sidelined through injury after picking up a problem in Saturday’s win over Sevilla.
The club have confirmed that Christensen has suffered a thigh injury and will be out for several weeks. According to AS, the current thinking is that the Dane will not be back in action until November.
The international break means that Christensen won’t miss a huge amount of games but will still be absent for some key fixtures.
Christensen is expected to sit out the league matches against Getafe, Real Madrid and Real Betis as well as the Champions League fixtures against PSG and Galatasaray.
Gerard Martin will be expected to cover for Christensen in his absence and partner Pau Cubarsi in the heart of the backline.
Hansi Flick could also look to use Eric Garcia and Jules Kounde in central defence while Christensen is recovering from his latest injury setback.
