Jeremy Jacquet was deservedly picked out as Liverpool’s standout player at Bournemouth – one of few recent signings to immediately hit the ground running.
Andoni Iraola secured a 1-0 win on his return to the south coast on Sunday, thanks to an Alexander Isak strike after the break.
Here we compare our player ratings with those of the Liverpool Echo, BBC Sport and TIA’s readers.
Jacquet (8.4) produced his best performance yet for Liverpool, proving a colossal presence at the back and the only player to average a rating above eight out of 10.
The Echo‘s Ian Doyle said the Frenchman was both “composed” and “aggressive” when he needed to be, in an “impressive” all-round performance.
Danny Gallagher gave Jacquet This Is Anfield‘s Man of the Match award, saying he was like “prime Cannavaro.”

Alisson (7.75) also shone for Liverpool, with BBC Sport’s Aadam Patel describing the Reds’ No. 1 as “authoritative throughout.”
Doyle said the 33-year-old was “absolutely flawless,” as he showed what a difference having him fit is.
Florian Wirtz (5.18) was hugely frustrating, however, getting the lowest score across the board and struggling “constantly,” according to Gallagher.
What the stats say: Alisson shines with 8.5 rating
Alisson got the top rating from FotMob, with the Brazilian’s calm and influence again invaluable.
He made two saves, one of which was outstanding in the first half, and there were also three high claims, easing the pressure in key moments.
Virgil van Dijk was typically colossal in his effortless manner, making an unrivalled 13 defensive contributions for Liverpool.

The skipper also made 12 clearances – five more than any other player – and completed 90 percent of his passes (69/77), the best return of any player.
Wirtz had a poor game overall, but interestingly, he won the joint-most ground duels (6/8) alongside Alex Scott and created the joint-most chances (3).
