Atletico Madrid beat Real Madrid 2-1 on Sunday in La Liga in a fractious match that certainly went down well in the Lamine Yamal household.
The teenager reacted to a social media post by Marc Pubill after the game to show exactly what he thought of the game between the two city rivals.
Pubill posted a photo of himself tackling Kylian Mbappe, with Yamal posting a series of emojis in response.
The result means that Barcelona head into the international break six points clear of Real Madrid in the table and five ahead of Atletico in second place.
Hansi Flick’s side are the only team in the division with a perfect record after seven games. Atletico have lost once and drawn once, while Jose Mourinho’s side have already been beaten twice in the 2026-27 campaign.
La Liga now pauses for a three-week break and then will resume with Barcelona up against Getafe, Atletico away at Alaves and Real Madrid facing Villarreal.
