The Bucks’ newest addition, Jaime Jaquez Jr., who landed in Milwaukee as part of the trade package that sent Giannis Antetokounmpo to the Heat, has already found himself going viral, but not for a reason he would have liked.
A viral video shows the former Miami Heat first-round pick seemingly being asked to leave a Milwaukee restaurant for bringing Percy, his 90-pound Bernese Mountain dog, with him.
“Why do they have a dog in here? That’s irritating the f–k out of me,” a bystander said as she recorded a video of the incident. “Like, get that dog the f–k out of here; I don’t give a f–k. I hate when people do that s–t.”
“Hi! Get your dog the f–k out of here; that’s irritating,” the bystander added while Jaime Jaquez Jr’s friend waved at her. “He did wave at me, but I don’t want to wave at you. Get your dog out of here for real.”
“Do not sit them! They’re busy… If they sit them, I’m going to be pissed,” she yelled further before stopping the recording. It is unclear whether Jaquez was eventually given a table, but the way the staff talked to them and walked away, the restaurant didn’t seem dog-friendly.

NBA fans also criticized Jaquez for bringing his dog to a restaurant. They flooded social media with their opinions as the video crossed one million views on X.
“He’s not special. Maybe the restaurant is not dog-friendly. People need to learn to follow the rules.”
“Good! The way people bring their dogs EVERYWHERE is crazy.”
“Being an athlete or some public figure doesn’t give you special rights.”
“How about don’t bring your f–king dog to a restaurant?”
“I wouldn’t want no dog hair randomly in my food either.”
Most fans felt he needs to realize that bringing a dog to a place where people are eating poses a threat not only because an animal can be unreliable around food, but also because of its mere presence, since a dog’s shed hair could fly into someone’s food.
But given how much Jaime Jaquez Jr. loves his dog, I assume he walked out with him instead of eating in a hostile environment.
In the end, it might be simpler to keep Percy at home when going to dining establishments that aren’t specifically pet-friendly because Jaquez is still getting to know Milwaukee. As he learns more about the city, he can discover more dog-friendly places and spend time with Percy without needless hassle.
