Jordan Love Captures Packers' Mindset in Skid-Snapping Win Against the Jets 1

Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers (and all their fans) finally let out a huge collective sigh of relief on Sunday.
After six straight losses, dating back to the 2025 NFL season, Green Bay ended that skid by outlasting the New York Jets in a 20-17 win in a Week 2 showdown at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford.
Green Bay needed to overcome a 10-point lead and overtime to come away with the victory, but a win is a win for the Packers.
“We stayed together. It wasn’t pretty. We knew it was going to be a four-quarter battle. Obviously, this one went to overtime, but he just had that mindset: ‘One play at a time, and just keep fighting,'” Love said in a postgame interview on the field (via FOX Sports: NFL).

Packers Did Just Enough to Earn First Win of the 2026 NFL Season

Former Utah State Aggies star quarterback Love didn’t have the smoothest performance, as neither did the Packers. He went 16/29 for 145 passing yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions.
Running back Kaleb Johnson led the Packers on the ground with 32 rushing yards on eight carries, while wide receiver Matthew Golden led the team with 58 receiving yards on four catches and six targets. Running back MarShawn Lloyd and wide receiver Christian Watson each caught a touchdown pass from Love.
Meanwhile, rookie kicker Trey Smack kicked the game-winning 26-yard field goal in overtime.
Having tasted a win again after several months, Green Bay will go for another one in Week 3, but on short rest, as the Packers host the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field for a Thursday Night Football showdown.
