After a successful audition with the Golden State Warriors at NBA Summer League, Gonzaga’s Graham Ike will stick with the Western Conference franchise during his rookie season.
Ike has reportedly signed a two-year, two-way contract with the Warriors, according to Aryan of The Consensus NBA Substack newsletter.
The All-American forward is filling the third and final two-way spot on Golden State’s roster after the Warriors inked guard LJ Cryer and forward Malevy Leons to two-way deals.
Under the terms of his two-way contract, Ike will be able to play up to 50 games for Golden State’s NBA team in 2026-27, while also appearing for the G League Santa Cruz Warriors based roughly 75 miles away from the team’s home venue in San Francisco.
Ike may not have been a top candidate to earn a two-way deal with the Warriors after signing an undrafted Exhibit 10 contract with the organization in June, but he strengthened his chances over eight games – and eight starts – at the California Classic and Las Vegas Summer League.
The reigning West Coast Conference Player of the Year, Ike averaged 9.3 points, 7.2 rebounds and 1.8 assists at both Summer Leagues, helping guide Golden State to a championship run in Las Vegas. Ike tallied 10 points and 11 rebounds in a Vegas Summer League semifinal against former GU teammate Anton Watson and the Los Angeles Lakers before scoring six points with nine rebounds against former Washington State wing Cedric Coward and the Memphis Grizzlies.
“Graham does give you that kind of old school, on the block, he can score it around the paint,” Warriors Summer League coach Khalid Robinson said od Ike. “I think he’s also shown in Summer League his ability to get on the perimeter, make plays as far as it’s a dribble handoff, he’s making the right reads and then diving into the pocket.
“I think he gives you a little bit of both and I just love his overall energy and competitiveness and kind of the joy he plays with. He’s just a really good human being and a guy you enjoy having around.”
Golden State could be an ideal situation for Ike, who joins a veteran frontcourt that includes 31-year-old Kristaps Porzingis, 36-year-old Draymond Green and 40-year-old Al Horford. Those three combined to play just 128 of a possible 246 games last season due to injuries and load management.
The Warriors’ frontcourt will also include 11th overall draft pick Yaxel Lendeborg, who started alongside Ike at Summer League, and Brazilian forward Gui Santos, who played in 68 games for Golden State last season.
By the end of his fifth college season, Ike was the sport’s active career scoring and rebounding leader, totaling 2,575 points and 1,1144 rebounds over two years at Wyoming and three more at Gonzaga.
Ike led the Zags in scoring each of the last three seasons, averaging 16.5 ppg in 2023-24, 17.3 in 2024-25 and 19.9 in 2025-26. He doubled on up on postseason WCC awards, earning the league’s Player of the Year before being named the Most Outstanding Player at the conference tournament. Ike was also a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award and named a Third Team All-American by the Associated Press and NABC.
