The Toronto Raptors have made a major decision on the contract of their rookie.
According to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Raptors have converted Jaden Bradley's contract from a two-way to a four-year $9.3 million deal with the first year being guaranteed.
The 23-year-old guard spent his freshman year in college in Alabama. After the first year he transferred to Arizona, where he played until this summer, when Bradley declared for the 2026 NBA Draft.
He was taken as the 50th overall pick by the Raptors.
To make the move the Toronto team are converting Malachi Smith's contract to a two-way, per Michael Scotto. Smith averaged 8.3 points on 48.5% shooting from the field and 43.5% shooting from 3-point range, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists in 15 games for the Brooklyn Nets last season.
Bradley's college career
In his four years in college, Jaden Bradley showed steady improvement, as he averaged just 6.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 3.1 assists in his first season serving as a backup point guard.
As he escalated his production, Bradley had a terrific senior year, accumulating 13.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists per game.
He was named Big 12 Player of the Year and was the Big 12 Ttournament MVP during his last season with Arizona.
