KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce added to his lengthy list of accolades Sunday night.
In the first half of Kansas City’s 33-30 win over the Indianapolis Colts, Kelce surpassed Hall of Fame running back Marshall Faulk for the NFL’s record for yards after the catch.
The record-setting mark came in a game that Kelce finished with nine receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown, and included more than 60 yards after the catch for the game.
That run-after-catch ability has been on display more in 2026 than in the past two seasons, with Kelce leading the NFL in yards after the catch through two weeks this season.
Kelce, at age 36, is in his 14th NFL season and still adding to his career of records. A week after moving into second place in NFL history for receiving yards by a tight end, Kelce and quarterback Patrick Mahomes made the Chiefs the first team in NFL history to have a quarterback over 30 years old throw for 300 yards and a tight end over 35 years old have more than 100 receiving yards in the same game.
Kelce will return to action in Week 3 as the Chiefs take on the Miami Dolphins on the road, Sunday, Sept. 27, at 12 p.m. CT.
