PHOENIX (AZFamily) — After he exited the Arizona Cardinals game early on Sunday, the team’s coaching staff is worried about cornerback Will Johnson.
Head Coach Mike LaFleur on Monday said the star defensive back could potentially miss the rest of the season due to a neck injury.
LaFleur said he didn’t have any more information and wasn’t sure if the 2025 second-round pick out of Michigan will need surgery.
The team did not provide a specific diagnosis for Johnson.

The defensive back left the game against the Seattle Seahawks after injuring his neck in the fourth quarter. The Cardinals went on to lose 31-7.
Johnson started the first two games of the season and was emerging as a key piece in the Cardinals’ defense. He has eight tackles, one pass defended and one fumble recovery this season.
Arizona plays at San Francisco next Sunday.
