The Milwaukee Bucks are exploring a potential pathway to acquire Detroit Pistons center Jalen Duren, according to Sam Amick and Hunter Patterson of The Athletic.
Milwaukee is reportedly one of at least two teams, alongside the Sacramento Kings, with serious interest in Duren both now and potentially next summer.
NBA reporter Evan Sidery suggested the Bucks could build a trade package around Myles Turner and draft capital if Detroit becomes willing to discuss a deal.
Turner is set to make approximately $26.6 million this season and remains under contract through 2028-29, giving Milwaukee a significant salary piece to potentially include in talks.
Duren remains in contract standoff with Pistons
Duren and Detroit remain unable to agree on a new contract.
Shams Charania of ESPN previously reported that the Pistons raised their offer to five years and $200 million, but Duren has yet to accept it.
His attendance at media day and training camp next week is considered highly uncertain.
The 22-year-old is coming off the best season of his career, averaging 19.5 points and 10.5 rebounds while shooting 65.0% from the field.
He earned his first All-Star selection and was named to the All-NBA Third Team in 2025-26.
Alternatively, Duren could accept Detroit's $9.6 million qualifying offer, which would make him an unrestricted free agent next summer.
