Arsenal teenager Max Dowman could reportedly be given the opportunity to train with England’s senior squad following a wave of injury withdrawals.
The 16-year-old is currently due to represent England Under-19s during the extended international window.
However, The Sun reports that Thomas Tuchel is considering allowing Dowman to link up with the senior group at St George’s Park.
It would represent another significant step in the Arsenal youngster’s rapid rise.
Max Dowman could train with England senior squad
England have lost five players from Tuchel’s original squad.
The Football Association confirmed that Declan Rice, Cole Palmer, Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo and Tino Livramento have all withdrawn because of injury issues.
Morgan Gibbs-White and James Garner have been formally added as replacements.
Dowman has not been called into the senior squad.
Instead, the report suggests the Arsenal prospect could be invited to train alongside Tuchel’s players while remaining part of England’s youth setup.
The official England development squad announcement currently lists Dowman with the Under-19s.

Dowman continues remarkable Arsenal rise
The possibility comes less than a week after another exceptional senior performance.
Dowman scored twice as Arsenal beat Ipswich Town 4-2 in the Carabao Cup.
Our Ipswich 2-4 Arsenal match report detailed a display which strengthened the teenager’s case for further first-team opportunities under Mikel Arteta.
He also matched a Wayne Rooney record with his Ipswich brace, becoming only the second 16-year-old to score twice in a senior match for a Premier League club.
Tuchel has previously spoken positively about Dowman’s long-term England prospects.
A temporary opportunity to train with Harry Kane and the senior squad would therefore represent another step in his development.
For now, however, Dowman remains an England Under-19 player rather than a senior international call-up.
