Every Liverpool star's international break fixtures as Jurgen Klopp hands Andoni Iraola boost

Most of Liverpool's senior players are set to play for their national teams over the next three weeks, with Andoni Iraola's side not back in action until mid-October

With an extended international break having arrived, most senior Liverpool players are set to play for their countries across the next three weeks.

"We will still train, but it's true that we are training with four or five players because most of the team is playing with the national team," Andoni Iraola explained after his side beat Bournemouth.

"The players will have now some days off and then we will keep working with the ones that stay. Then we will prepare well for when the others come and you have no more than three days probably to prepare for the Manchester City game.

"We are ready not just for that game, but for the run of games that we have that is going to be demanding."

Virgil van Dijk was named in the Netherlands squad, as expected, following talks with new head coach Xavi Hernandez.

Liverpool teammates Cody Gakpo, Jeremie Frimpong and Ryan Gravenberch are also set to feature in matches against Germany (Thurs 24), Serbia (Sun 27), Greece (Thurs 1) and Serbia again (Sun 4).

Hungary has two Liverpool players: Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez. It will take on Ukraine (Fri 25), Northern Ireland (Mon 28), Georgia (Fri 2) and Ukraine again (Mon 5).

Kostas Tsimikas and Greece will face Serbia (Thurs 24), Germany (Sun 27), Netherlands (Thurs 1) and Germany again (Thurs 1).

In a boost for Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp has only selected Florian Wirtz for the second two of Germany's four games. The Reds man will take on Serbia (Thurs 1) and Greece (Sun 4).

Alexis Mac Allister and Argentina will face Bolivia (Weds 30), Burkina Faso (Sat 3) and Benin (Tues 6), while Alexander Isak and Sweden have Romania (Fri 25), Poland (Mon 28), Bosnia (Fri 2) and Romania again (Mon 5).

In-form Jeremy Jacquet could make his senior France debut, while Bradley Barcola will be a key man for Les Bleus. They are set to play Turkiye (Fri 25), Belgium (Mon 28), Italy (Fri 2) and Belgium again (Mon 5).

Though he didn't play a minute for Spain at the World Cup, Victor Munoz is in the squad again and could face England (Sat 26), Croatia (Tues 29), Czechia (Sat 3) and Croatia again (Tues 6).

Rio Ngumoha is with England for matches with Spain (Sat 26), Czechia (Tues 29), Croatia (Sat 3) and Czechia again (Tues 6), while Giorgi Mamardashvili’s Georgia have Northern Ireland (Fri 25), Ukraine (Mon 28), Hungary (Fri 2) and Northern Ireland again (Mon 5).

Now established as Liverpool's right-back, Ronald Araujo will face Japan (Thurs 24), South Korea (Mon 28) and India (Tues 6) with Uruguay.

Alisson Becker was left out of Brazil’s squad, with Carlo Ancelotti explaining that he wanted to try out some more youthful stars, while Joe Gomez has not played for England since 2024.

Missing the World Cup through injury, Wataru Endo announced his retirement from international duty earlier this year. Federico Chiesa, who has opted out of Italy duty in recent times, is currently injured.
