Tottenham fans, look away now.

Amid a historically poor start to the 2026/27 campaign, it appears that circling the drain for two straight seasons will finally catch up with Spurs.

According to Opta's supercomputer, Tottenham, who sit last after five games, are predicted to end the season in 18th.

The prediction model has Spurs picking up 43.12 points, giving them a 29.39 per cent chance of being relegated.

Annoyingly for Spurs, Ipswich Town were tipped to accrue 43.68 points, which has them with a 28.42 per cent chance of going down.

Fulham and Coventry City complete the predicted bottom three in Opta's model.

The Cottagers, who are one of three teams yet to win a league game this term, are expected to finish with 39.84 points.

Unfortunately for Coventry, Opta has tipped them to finish last having given them an expected points haul of 39.60.

Even though there isn't much between the predicted points margin among those four clubs, the relegation percentage difference is significant.

Opta's model has Fulham with a 42.40 per cent chance of going down while Coventry are a 43.82 per cent chance.

Opta Supercomputer predicts the Premier League title race

Moving away from the bottom end of the table, Arsenal are predicted to win back-to-back league titles.

It is a feat the Gunners have never managed in the Premier League era.

In fact, Arsenal have not won consecutive league titles in the English top flight since the 1930s, underlining the significance of their mooted achievement.

However, Arsenal are not tipped to be runaway winners.

According to Opta, the Gunners have been predicted to finish with 75.91 points, which is ever-so-slightly ahead of Manchester City's predicted points tally of 75.33.

Despite the closeness in the predicted points, there is a large difference when it comes to the predicted title percentage.

Opta has the Gunners with a 43.63 per cent chance of retaining their title while City have a 39.71 per cent chance.

But with 33 games to go this season, there's still plenty of twists and turns left to come.

Spurs supporters will hope those same twists and turns don't end with them finishing in the bottom three, something they have not experienced in the Premier League era.
