francesco camarda
Chelsea are interested in exploring a move to sign AC Milan starlet Francesco Camarda, a report has claimed.
Camarda’s use (or lack thereof) under Ruben Amorim so far this season has drawn some attention. The decision was made by Milan to keep him in the squad and not loan him out, but he has so far had two brief appearances off the bench and no starts.

Chelsea rekindle Camarda interest
According to Graeme Bailey of TEAMtalk, Chelsea owners BlueCo are ‘once again keeping close tabs on the situation’ of Camarda, with the teenager’s ‘lack of regular first-team football prompting interest from a host of clubs to resurface’.
It is not the first time that the Italian forward has been linked with a potential move away. In 2024, as he was getting close to being eligible to sign his first professional contract, Camarda chose to remain with his boyhood team despite interest from Chelsea, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs.

He became the youngest ever Serie A player when he came on against Fiorentina in November 2023 aged 15 years and 260 days. Then, he became the youngest Italian to make his Champions League debut against Club Brugge, aged 16 years and 226 days.
The report adds: “We understand Camarda is yet to see the level of first-team football he would have hoped for and that situation is now being monitored closely. Indeed, the youngster has played just eight minutes of Serie A football so far this season.”
Milan are absolutely not looking to explore any kind of exit route for Camarda, having also extended his deal until 2031 in the summer. Chelsea’s interest has resurfaced, while Spurs, Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion are watching things closely. Now, we’ll see if they test Milan and the player’s resolve.
