1. Morgan Rogers (0.25)

The £100 Million man Morgan Rogers has completely shed any discussions around his price tag. He has hit the ground running at his new team, racking up goals and assists in the manager’s system. He currently leads the way for the team creatively with 0.25 xA per 90. The left-sided attacker has been unleashed as an inside forward in the highly transitional team and he should be able to keep up the output on the expected stats front.

2. Cole Palmer (0.16)

Another player who is thriving under his new manager, Cole Palmer has looked revitalised in spurts. The interplay between him and the other attackers is working and it creates space for the trio to exploit in turns. Palmer’s passing range has been emphasised with the wing-backs and other attackers providing more targets to hit, as evidenced by his current xA numbers.

3. Pedro Neto (0.15)

A rather surprising addition as he has yet to register an actual assist this campaign. Pedro Neto has been given some new responsibilities as a wing-back but the usually narrow trio of attackers has opened the wide channels for him to stretch his legs and use his speed to get the team into dangerous areas. Neto’s primary xA is likely coming from crosses or cutbacks and over the course of the season he is likely to get stats on the board.

T4/5/6. Jorrel Hato/Reece James/Valentin Barco (0.08)

There’s a bit of a drop from the third place player to the deadlock in fourth/fifth. The other wing-back gets on the board as Jorrel Hato has been on the left-side, often playing more defensively or reserved and getting forward at opportune times. Barco is a potential surprise as he saw his minutes limited to the cup earlier on but his passing range was utilised in their latest outing and he’s been showing a creative edge that could benefit the side.

Reece James has been in midfield so far, showing some creative flair in his less than 300 league minutes. While he isn’t as creative as Barco, that balance could allow him to be more defensive if Moises Caicedo isn’t fit to play after the international break.
