CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCSC) — The Hornets are coming back to the Lowcountry.
The NBA franchise announced on Monday that they’ll be returning to Charleston at The Citadel for preseason camp from September 29th through October 2nd.
This will be the 2nd straight year Charlotte has held training camp in the Lowcountry and the 5th straight season The Citadel will host an NBA team. They’ve also hosted the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks in recent seasons.
An official from The Citadel first confirmed this news last week in addition to a report that the Boston Celtics will hold camp at the school as well at a later time.
The Hornets are coming off a 44-38 season last year that saw them finish in 9th place in the Eastern Conference and reach the play in game.
